Analytics for Content Publishing System
Using a custom-built system, our client was regularly publishing a large number of research pieces and other professional financial content. They were anecdotally hearing positive feedback on their content, but couldn’t quantify which pieces were being viewed, or get a sense of which authors, publications or series were more or less successful in the field. Also, given a large but well known universe of users, they wanted to discover which field users were making the most use of the content. We designed a series of interactive, connected graphs and tables that provide immediate insights into usage patterns, while providing for paths to dig deeper and see the underlying data.

Our design for an Interactive summary uses filters, interconnected charts, and drilldowns as paths for users to explore underlying data.

We designed a the 'compare' control, for users to quickly select a series of publications to compare.

In a trends panel, we used a series of bar graphs to illustrate how deeply engaged or engaging the top (and bottom) users or content were across various segments.
