Small-Business Finance Manager Wanted

Remote, Part time, 15-20hrs per week (flexible depending on needs)

UXL | User Experience Lab is a design studio location in NYC with a satellite office in Harrison NY. We offer User Experience consulting services to Fortune 500 clients in the tristate area. As our team is expanding, we are seeking a finance manager to wrangle the various financial aspects of our business. This position is on a part-time basis and can be performed mostly remotely with occasional meetings in Harrison NY and/or Midtown.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and reconcile company books using QuickBooks Online

• Run financial reports and projections

• Oversee time and expense reporting

• Manage accounts payable and receivables

• Manage payroll and pension contributions

• Liaise with accountant on tax reporting needs and issues

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree

• Previous professional bookkeeping experience

• High level of proficiency with QuickBooks Online, financial reporting and forecasting software

• High level of proficiency with Office suite tools

• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written

• General tech-savviness

• Self-directed individual

The ideal candidate for this position is a tech-savvy, self-directed individual with an interest in learning about our business while maintaining a flexible part-time schedule. Since this position is remote, it is expected that the candidate has a home office set up with a high performing computer, high speed internet, reliable voice line and can work undisturbed during the time dedicated to his/her responsibilities.
